167 - Tracks, But Not Tank Ones - Part 2

First of all, thank you to everyone who has read/looked at part 1 of this. Now on to part 2.
Part one gave you all the reasons why we're doing this, plus the first stages of the build process. Next up was to actually get some track put down. This is a pic heavy post and I'll warn you now the pics aren't particularly interesting.










This is what the layout looked like when we we're trying to squeeze as much track on as possible. In the end we are going to go with a triple loop layout. One high speed loop around the outside and then two slower loops. There will be a large marshalling yard (the mass of track at one end), an urban area and a rural area.

As I said, not a very interesting post, but part of the process and it will make things a lot easier when we come to fix the track down in the end.
