163 - When in Doubt, Buy Buy Buy

Genuine reasons delay hobby progress again. I'll spare the boring story. Instead I'll show you what I get to build (and maybe paint next!).

That my friends is a Voss Pattern Lightning Strike Fighter straight from the lovely people at ForgeWorld. All the bits are well cast with minimal bubbles and look like they'll require minimal work - so very impressed.

Unfortunately, the usual ForgeWorld dodgy packaging rears it's ugly head. The clear canopy section for the Lightning arrived in two pieces. ForgeWorld customer services to the rescue and a new one is on it's way.
